EP Plug Popper The Urbinati plug popper is a great labour saving device! It has been designed to allow the clean gentle popping of plugs without damage. It is suitable for a wide range of rigid and semi rigid plastic trays. The machine holds the tray very firmly and without damage to the tray or the plant. Growers who use an automatic plug popper have found that the plant is in a much better condition when popped with an automatic popper as opposed to manual methods. This has resulted in more uniform growth. The action is smooth and uniform and allows an even force across the area of the tray. To operate the machine the grower simply connects the machine to a suitable compressed air supply and depresses the two operating switches. When extraction is complete the operating switches are released and the plate retracts from the tray. Both switches must be pressed at the same time in order to allow the machine to work. This built in safety feature protects the operator from moving parts while the machine is working. The machine is quick and extremely simple to operate.
